Account & Settings
Password Resets
If you log in with email and password, tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen. If you use Apple or Google Sign-In, your password is managed directly through them.
Changing Your Username
Your @handle is set during onboarding and cannot be changed afterwards. If you need to update it, contact us at support@letswhim.com.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data inside the app via Settings > Delete Account. This action cannot be undone. Visit letswhim.com/delete-account for more details.
Plans & Whims
Creating a Whim
Tap the + button on the home screen, give your plan a name, pick a date, and optionally add a venue. You can invite friends right during creation or add more people later.
Inviting Friends
Open any Whim and tap the people icon. You can select friends from your circle, search contacts already on the app, or send an invite link via SMS to people who haven't joined yet.
Smart Arrival
If enabled in your settings, Whim uses a secure geofence around your destination to automatically notify your group when you arrive.
Discovery & Location
Finding Friends
Go to the Contacts tab and tap Import Contacts. Whim matches you with friends already using the app by comparing one-way cryptographic hashes of phone numbers. We never store your raw contact information.
Location
Whim uses your device's GPS for venue recommendations. If you haven't granted location permissions, the app uses the location you set during onboarding, which you can update in your profile.
Is Whim Free?
Yes. Whim is free to download and use on iOS and Android.
