We started Whim to get our city off the feed.

There's always something good happening in Metro Vancouver — a watch party two blocks over, a new patio, a pickup game down the street. Too often it disappears under a feed designed to keep you watching instead of living. That gap is the whole reason Whim exists.

So we're building the opposite of the feed: a guide that points you at something real worth doing, and an app that makes going and doing it with friends take seconds. No infinite scroll, no algorithm deciding for you — just the good stuff, and an easy way to show up for it. The less time you spend in our app, the better we're doing our job.

Whim is built and run by a small, independent team right here in Metro Vancouver. We're local, we're picky about what makes the cut, and we're building the city guide we always wished we had.
